Okeden  Horses

In 1996 the Okeden Stud moved down to Essex

from East Yorkshire and the reins changed from founder, zzzzz

the late, Dr June Alexander to her daughter Joanne Alexander-Sefre

This website celebrates the Okeden horses present

and past and now also links to Okeden Equine business

division of Sefrex Ltd.

The stud was first set up in the early 1960's and the Essex divison began around 25 years later with just a couple of welsh cobs.

We now are proud to still have a Pure-Bred Arabian, 3 Welsh cobs and Alfie the Highland Pony.

Anybody who has ever had an Okeden horse (or progeny) however remains part of the Okeden team and we are delighted to now have members of our family and friends all over the UK and indeed the world.

The hope is to have some more Welsh Cob foals in the future and build up this side of the stud. However, in the meantime, we have a lovely group of both regular and occasional riders who come and enjoy riding out in our lovely Hainault forest, literally on the edge of London!
